CEL announces a new collaborative inquiry with Project Zero, a research center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (USA). The Envisioning Innovation in Education project has been established to promote and investigate the practices of inquiry, innovation, and learning design amongst a cohort of educators and a team of school principals representing a diverse array of learning environments in Hong Kong.

Bringing physics and engineering to life for pK-12 students

CEL sponsored the MIT STEAM Camp, which brought together MIT faculty with 200+ middle-school aged students and 30+ educators from Hong Kong for two weeks of hands-on learning. This article interviewed Bahrudin Trabalic, one of the MIT students, who helped facilitate the MIT STEAM Camp.

Beyond Rubrics Journeys to Hong Kong

MIT’s Playful Journey Lab was involved in delivering the teacher’s professional development experience during MIT STEAM Camp. The Lab introduced the Beyond Rubrics toolkit, which includes a set of customizable assessment tools designed to help teachers, and students themselves, collect in-the-moment evidence of students demonstrating future-ready skills such as collaboration and risk-taking.

Catalyst Education Lab's hands-on, minds-on week in Cambridge
